I miss sweet corn! When I lived in Colorado we had Olathe Sweet corn and it was the best! I have live all over and am in Texas now, haven’t had good corn yet!
My parents moved back from Florida a year ago. They lived in Ohio their entire lives and said the tomatoes and corn couldn’t compare to Ohio’s. Now they are at the farmer stand weekly. I have never left Ohio so I guess I take it for granted.
This looks delicious Diane, especially the secret seasoning. I usually put butter, salt and pepper on the corn, wrap it in foil and cook. Now I have some new ingredients, yum. C
Interesting Cheryl, do you cook it on the grill, in the oven or what? I have only cooked it in boiling water and the grill.
Mostly on the grill but when we’re not grilling the oven works great, 350, 20 minutes.
Now you have me interested. Do you peel it first, leave it in the husk, wrap in foil or what. I have never heard of cooking it in the oven.
I do peel the husk off the corn, slather it in butter, salt and pepper, wrap in foil and then if there’s room on the grill I throw them on, if not, in the oven they go. I can do them ahead of time so I can socialize when the guests arrive. C

We did one year and the day we were going to pick it the racoons came the night before and devoured all but about a dozen ears. Never did it again! Lol

We make exactly the same butter & herb mix for our sweet corn … and loves it! And I have some sweet corn in the fridge – maybe a good idea for something light for dinner later. Thanks for sharing ( and reminding me) 😊.
