Air Fryer Chicken Leg Quarters

Crispy golden brown skin without breading, moist and delicious meat and very little mess. This has become our favorite way to make Air Fryer Chicken Leg Quarters.

Spray the pan with cooking oil and preheat the

air fryer to 400º for 5 minutes with the pan in it.

Rinse the chicken with water

and pat dry with a paper towel.

Drizzle olive oil over the chicken. Using your hands,

rub the oil all over the chicken making sure

you don’t miss a spot or it won’t brown.

Add your favorite seasoning, we love Adobo

on ours. Using your hands rub the seasoning

into the chicken making sure it is on both sides.

Place the chicken, skin side down, into the hot pan. (I had too many leg quarters to lay flat so I leaned mine against the side making sure there was air between the pan and the chicken.) Cook for 20 minutes then turn the chicken skin side up. Continue to cook until the thickest part of the thigh is 165º, checking after 5 minutes. Each piece is a different thickness so check the temperature of each piece before removing. Do not overcook or they will be dry.

  1. Fried chicken is one of my comfort foods. The way you prepared it using the Air Fryer looks like how they serve it in Vietnamese restaurants and look delish. I really do need to invest in an AirFryer! 😋

  2. I can’t believe it when someone says they don’t have an air fryer!! We have 3, all different sizes. One of them is used most everyday!

      • I know the air fryer is also nice in the summer when we don’t have to have the over on – such a great appliance

      • Oh definitely true! I was lazy at lunch time and threw frozen store bought chicken nuggets in my air fryer today. Yes the were meant for the grandkids! 🤷🏽‍♀️

      • hahah – the nuggets sound good

and one of our favorite things to do is make a couple pack of chicken thighs in the air fryer
eat some and the rest go n the fridge – and then the reheat is the best part.

take one or two of the cold and already cooked thighs and gently tear it into pieces – air fry the heck out it (well make it crispy) and then we Mae a sauce – 1/2 Irish butter and 1/2 red Hot hot sauce – and it is snacking on crunchy chicken that is healthy
