Slow Cooker BBQ Pork Tenderloin

Fork tender BBQ Pork Tenderloin covered in my homemade dry rub, slow cooked, brushed with BBQ sauce then shredded for the most delicious BBQ shredded pork sandwiches or to eat with a fork like we did.

In a small bowl combine the brown sugar,

garlic powder, salt, pepper and paprika.

Use your fingers and mix the dry

rub well, breaking up any clumps.

Rinse the pork with water and pat dry with paper towel.

Rub olive oil all over the pork.

Pat the dry rub on the pork,

completely covering all of the meat.

Place 1/2 cup of water in the slow cooker then add the pork.

Cook on high for 3-1/2 hours.

Heavily cover the pork with your favorite BBQ sauce.

I find Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce is perfect with my

dry rub. Continue to slow cook for 30 – 45 minutes.

Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred

it with a fork, it should fall apart easily. Add more

BBQ sauce to your liking then serve on a bun or

as is with a fork like we did.

  1. Thank you for another great share, Diane! Really mouthwatering watching the images. 😉 Now its very good the preparation would take some time, and here its Saturday evening. Lol Have a beautiful (rest of the) weekend! Michael xx

      • I used to buy that tub of pulled beef or pork BBQ but stopped as it had a lot of sodium. Yours looked much better. I can hardly wait Diane. (Hopefully the laptop is off the stove by then – even with the computer debacle, there it sits ….)

  2. Ahh, nice Diane … for us (meat eaters from South Africa), this is a wonderful meal! I like your dry rub (anything with paprika is great 😉) … thanks, we are definitely going to try this one!

  3. I love pulled pork and this sounds amazing. Sweet Baby Ray’s is one of my favourite BBQ sauces too. I will have to try this the next time I pick up tenderloin. They often have it on sale.

    • I use this same rub and cook my ribs in the slow cooker….amazing! After the ribs cook I brush them with BBQ sauce and broil them until the BBQ sauce is gooey. I even wrap potatoes in foil and put them in the slow cooker too.

      • Thank you for the great tips. I like to keep the oven off in the summer and the slow cooker comes in handy for food preparation.
