❤️ Our Cabana ❤️

Our Cabana finally arrived yesterday after waiting for two months from having it custom made. There is attached seating all along three sides and is a whopping 12′ x 20′ big! I will be ordering an eight person wood table for our picnics on it, running electric to it, installing lighting and some sort of landscaping to cover up the concrete pad.

  1. It looks beautiful, Diane! What a wonderful place to have and enjoy outside, particularly during these stressful times! Congratulations, and enjoy! 🙂

  2. Wow! That looks great. What a great way to enjoy the outdoors, especially during these times. Love the idea to landscape around the concrete. Enjoy it!!!

  3. How nifty! We rented a house once – 55 years ago – that had a screened in enclosure like that with a built-in BBQ pit. I think the owners had church functions there, so it was pretty big. It was great to be able to be outdoors but keep the mosquitoes away.

Hope you enjoy this to the fullest! ;->

    Virtual hugs,

    Judie

    • We get wind almost constantly. There are open fields around us and 50-60 mph winds happen with some storms. Then in the winter the snow would destroy the screen. Years ago I wanted a gazebo, screened, but as time went on I new it would never hold up. This works perfectly.

  4. Awesome!! I can smell a grill cooking chicken and assorted veggies now…. 🤪

  5. Very nice Diane!! Now- will you be able to sit out there in the Winter if you have electrical – like one of those electric fireplaces perhaps? I hope you post more pictures when it’s just the way you like it.

  6. Fancy fancy!
Very nice Diane, I hope to be slowing down soon… but it’s been nothing but rain up here because of the tornados.
Not to mention it feels like this week has lasted forever since we’ve been preparing for my birthday this Sunday!
Ah well… guess it will be worth it in the end! 😀
You have a great week Diane, <3

  7. Diane, this is awesome! I can only imagine how beautiful it will be once you’ve added your table, landscaping, lighting, etc. What a peaceful place to share love for your family, friends, and nature. Lots of memorable moments ahead for you and your loved ones, I’d bet. 🙂

I’m happy for you that you’ve gotten your cabana and that it is exactly what you’d hoped for. 🤗 Much love and many blessings to you and your family, Diane. I pray it’s a blessing for many years to come!

      • I probably won’t post them because my granddaughter is in the pictures. I wish I could send pictures here. I decorated the front of the house, front of the cabana and the house has so many decorations it looks like a store…lol My grandson that lives an hour away is going to be 2 on Halloween and I am having a small party here with the grandparents. Then he will have one on his birthday at home. That way less people socializing. He will love all the decorations.

      • ooh I agree with you not posting the pictures if families are in the pictures. Even here, my family don’t want their pictures to be featured on the blog. So I write only about my daily doings and my profession for interior decor will be featured. But nice to read that your grandson will be celebrating his birthday. Enjoy yourselves guys. And Happy Birthday to your little soldier.

    • I had so much fun decorating it for Halloween on Saturday. My hope is to run electric to it next year. Then lights and at Christmas time a tree that is lit up. Thank you for your kind words! ❤️
