Do you love cinnamon rolls but you don’t like all the work that goes into them? I made these with canned cinnamon rolls that I sliced each roll into four pieces, I rolled them into small balls, cooked them in the air fryer then rolled them in a glaze (optional). I air fried these in 8 – 10 minutes and they disappeared fast! I am learning to like to Air Fry!

Ingredients

  • 1 can cinnamon rolls, 8 count
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • milk

Directions

  1. Cut a piece of oven safe parchment paper to fit the bottom of the air fryer basket.
  2. In a small bowl, using a fork, combine the powdered sugar, vanilla and enough milk to make a glaze. It needs to be thin enough to drip off of the cinnamon bites but thick enough to leave a glaze coating on the cinnamon bites. Set aside.
  3. Remove the cinnamon rolls from the can and cut each one into four equal pieces using a sharp thin knife.
  4. Roll each cut piece tightly into a small ball so they don’t come apart.
  5. Place the small balls into the air fryer basket, on the parchment paper, without touching each other.
  6. Do not preheat the air fryer. Put the basket into the air fryer and turn to 330 degrees for 3 – 4 minutes.
  7. Carefully turn the cinnamon bites over then cook another 3 – 4 minutes or until as brown as you like them.
  8. Place a few of the cinnamon bites into the glaze. Using a slotted spoon, turn the bites over completely coating them with the glaze.
  9. Place the cinnamon bites onto a rack allowing the excess glaze to drip off. Repeat with the remaining cinnamon bites.
  10. Let the glaze harden then serve.

    • I really didn’t think I would like it and it took me a while to use it (I’m so use to cooking on the stove and in the oven). But everything we make in it has been fabulous! Thanks Ab.

  1. YUM! That looks so good! Oh my goodness! It’s been oh so yum…I mean long since I haven’t eaten cinnamon rolls! 🙁 very good job as always sis! God bless and keep and your family safe and secure. I love you! <3 😍☺"Do you love cinnamon rolls but you don’t like all the work that goes into them?" this mean me laugh! Hahaha! 😂🤣

    • I have had mine for a couple years. First all we made was French fries (awesome) then I tried wings (more awesome) then bone in skin on chicken thighs (amazing) and now these cinnamon bites. I have not made one thing that we didn’t go WOW! I don’t know why I don’t use it even more because everything has been amazing so far. I hate frying and the chicken and wings tasted like they were fried and that is with no breading. If you decide to get one, buy the largest one you can.

    • There is nothing better than eating them made from scratch (or a cafe), however, this was a great way to get the delicious taste easily With better portion control. I could eat 4 bites and it was only 1 roll. Thank you Donna and have a fantastic week!

  2. I like these cinnamon rolls as is, but this an interesting take. I’m thinking my grandbaby would love them. I’ll let you know.

      • Grandbaby is 2 now. Actually 27 months and an adorable little monster! I see you have some too. What are their ages?

      • One grandson will be 2 on Halloween, then a 5 and 9 year old. I take care of my 5 & 9 year old a lot. My almost 2 year old lives over an hour away so I pick him up once a month for 3 days. Isn’t being a grandparent amazing!!!!!!

  3. Oh wow – I could really get into these “bite-sized” tidbits in a big way. I remember the Cinnabon in the mall – that smell wafting right to your nostrils. After they left, going down that part of the mall was never the same.

    • You know it’s funny because I never cared for the Cinnabon. I agree the smell was amazing! Even the canned cinnamon rolls never appealed to me. Both always seemed doughy but by cutting each of the canned rolls into 4 pieces they were cooked perfectly for me. SOOOO GOOD!!! Thanks Linda and have a great week!

      • We only got the little ones – the big ones were really too big to enjoy on the spot in the mall. My mom made small cinnamon rolls but not with yeast, but used Bisquick mix and they were not so gooey and doughy that way (as she didn’t care for anything doughy – not even bread). They were good and smelled up the entire house. They looked a little like over-sized Hershey Kisses, not really flat and full of raisins and cinnamon, but nothing gooey on them like icing.

  4. How on earth did I miss this post??

Get us some Dunkin Dark and eat ourselves silly!
