Chicken Patties
Ground Chicken that is seasoned & lightly breaded then cooked in a skillet with butter. This amazing chicken patty makes a delicious sandwich or eat it as is. This is my favorite Chicken Patty and tastes as good as it looks!
Ingredients
In a large bowl add the chicken, egg,
bread crumbs, Old Bay, pepper, salt,
onion powder and garlic powder.
Mix well then divide into four sections.
Shape into balls. Mixture will be very wet
but do not add any more bread crumbs.
Pat each ball into a patty and immediately
place it into the bread crumbs, turning
over to coat the other side too.
Place the patties on a plate.
In a large skillet over medium
low heat, melt half of the butter.
Place the patties into the hot pan.
Turn over when golden brown, add
the rest of the butter and cook until
165 degrees in the center.
Remove to a plate covered with
paper towel to absorb the excess butter.
Place on a plate and serve
as is or with a bun.

I did strips like that last night, but these look very tasty, too. Do you grind your own chicken? I have been contemplating the purchase of a meat grinder for a long time, but just haven’t been able to be confident enough to pull the trigger. Would I really use it enough to make it worthwhile to find a place for yet another kitchen toy?
Virtual hugs,
Judie
I didn’t grind this one but we do use our Kitchen Aid grinder attachment to grind. It does a great job. I use to grind it with the old fashioned grinder that tightened to the counter and it was awful!
Well it grind raw beef and/or chicken?
Yes and it works great but you have to chop the meat up small. We even use it to make sausage.
You’ve encouraged me to crawl around down there to see if I can find it in the far back reaches of the cabinet, and bring it forth to produce goodness for us! ;-> Thank you!
You’re talking about the Kitchen Aid attachment right? The other was awful!
Yes. The attachment. I’ll dig out my tactical flashlight and track it down!
Hahaha!
This is something I’m going to try! Delish! Thank you my friend!
Enjoy they are very delicious Nancy!
This recipe is my favourite!! Thank you Diane for sharing this recipe 😍
You’re welcome, what I love is that there is very little breading yet so much flavor.
That’s the awesomeness 😍
These look so good!
Thank you Betty!!
Looks good. I have a similar recipe with ground turkey. I’ll get to it someday soon. Gotta love chicken!!
Thank you!!! Yes turkey tastes just as good in recipes like this.
That looks delicious – bigger/higher than a chicken cutlet with is flattened out. More bang for your buck!
Thanks Linda!!
I’ll definitely try this! Thabks for sharing 😊
Thank you and enjoy!!!
at first glance I thought that was brown sugar…:) I LOVE brown sugar, this looks delicious too, though!
