Chicken Breasts smothered in a Brown Sauce & cooked in one skillet on top of the stove. There is plenty of brown sauce to use on top of rice or whatever else you want too.

Pound the chicken breasts so

that they are an even thickness.

Pepper both sides of the chicken.

(I forgot to do this step and

added it to the sauce instead.)

Remove the chicken and

strain the sauce (optional).

It makes a much better looking

brown sauce without the

chicken particles in it.

Place the chicken into a serving bowl

and drizzle with the sauce. Use leftover

sauce with rice, broccoli or whatever you want.

  1. Omg yum! I feel like I’ve missed so many posts… I have a lot to catch up on lol!
It’s just been a busy beginning of the month I guess.
    Very delicious recipe Diane!

    • Yes 3 weeks no school, all functions of 100 or more forbidden and even the hospitals have denied all visitors (my daughter is happy she said the visitors are the hardest part of nursing…lol)

      • They just instituted that here in Michigan after I went to bed – heard it this morning on the news … schools closed until the 6th – might as well have waited until after Easter in my opinion. Your daughter is lucky you are available. Funny your daughter and the visitors … my friend Ann Marie’s husband was in the ICU then a regular room for step-down at a hospital from February 12th until last Friday when he was transferred to a nursing home and she cannot visit him without having her temperature taken and they are discouraging visitors.

      • My friends husband is in a nursing home and she visits him every day. They just closed it to everyone visiting. She is lost and he will not understand why she doesn’t visit. All she can do is call to see how he is doing. I feel so bad for her but it is for all of the nursing homes residence safety.

      • Oh, that is so sad – I imagine that is what is happening with Ann Marie’s husband too. He has been shuttled around now for over a month. She was going and staying with him all day at the hospital and then the same for the nursing home. It is for the best, but no in-person visits is just not the same for the patients.

  2. NICE! Sometimes I go to the local Chinese restaurant and order what they call Triple Crown. It is jumbo shrimp, chicken, beef, sautéed white mixed vegetables in brown sauce. I have always wondered what the brown sauce was because it is yummilicious! Your recipe makes me wonder if it is the same sauce… Hmmm… They also use a white sauce which is also very good. I think some experimenting is in order. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Hello. This post was extremely interesting, especially
because I was looking for thoughts on this topic last Thursday.
