Two Minute Microwave Taco Shell
I always seem to have tortillas but not taco shells. Did you know that you can turn a tortilla into a crispy taco shell in just two minutes, in the microwave and without frying it in oil? It really is that easy.
Ingredients
Place the tortillas into a
large deep coffee mug.
Place the mug on its side in the microwave.
Microwave for 2 minutes or
until the tortilla is crispy.
Then remove from the mugs.
Make your taco!

Very cool! Thanks for the tip. Likely no problem with them falling apart as your eating them too.π
They do fall apart because they are so crispy. I bet cooking them less than the 2 minutes would help but I didn’t try it yet. Thanks Sue!
Really? I have some tortillas at home! Great idea Diane π
Isn’t it cool? Next I am going to try elephant ears! They are a cinnamon type dessert.
Oh my…sounds good to meππ
Wow, it’s so simple! Who knew? I have tortillas around all the time and I had no idea that you could crisp them up and turn them into taco shells this way. Thanks for sharing!
You’re very welcome Jeff!
What a great idea!
Thank you Robin!
Clever Diane π
Thanks Jack!
Always wondered how I could get them to curl up. Also, how do you make taco salad bowls?
You could do the same thing in the microwave as this only put it in a bowl. I actually have a fluted metal pan to make the bowls but that goes into the oven.
Omg my mouth is watering already.
Thank you Jayce!

WOW! I would totally expect it too get soggy, not crispy. Super cool!
I almost named them cinnamon crisps but they are made with the same topping as elephant ears and so good!
