No Bake Goo Balls
Rice Krispies mixed with honey, peanut butter and vanilla extract then rolled into a ball for a healthier version of Rice Krispie Treats. Not nearly as sweet as the Rice Krispie Treats but still a fabulous treat.
I learned of Goo Balls from a fellow blogger http://www.hunidasblog.com.
After searching the web I found a recipe from http://www.recipelion.com.
Ingredients
In a medium pan add the
peanut butter and honey.
Stir well then cook over medium heat,
stirring constantly, until the mixture
comes to a boil. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the Rice Krispies into the pan
and gently toss until the Rice
Krispies are completely coated.
Once the mixture is cool enough to hold,
roll it into small balls and place on waxed
paper to cool and set up then serve.
Store in an airtight container.
My 5 year old grandson asked if he and
his sister could make snowmen out of it.
I thought that would be fun so here is
a picture of their masterpiece.

This looks awesome ! Will definitely be trying these. Thank you so much. I will let you know how mine come out !
Great I hope you enjoy them! Thank you!
Ooey-gooey but exceptionally cute – your grandkids are very creative!
They sure are I don’t know how my grandson thought of doing that!
He probably is wishing he had snow to do the real thing – this was the next best way to make a snowman!
Gooey and good!!
Thanks John!
a great healthier option
I don’t do too many….lol Thank you Beth!
My kids loved ‘handsy’ recipes back in the day! It’s been years since I’ve done one. Will try this one with my 5-year-old grandnephew, Jordan. Knowing him, he’ll try to make cars! 😄 Thanks!
Hahaha you have to love our grandboys! Have fun!
These sound great! So funny I was just thinking about making Rice Krispie treats but this sounds better! Thanks Diane
They aren’t as sweet but I love the peanut butter! Thank you!
Now this sounds worth trying! I never cared for the others. I’ll have to try these.

They aren’t so sweet yet takes care of a sweet craving.
I make peanut butter rice krispie squares that are very similar. I use corn syrup instead of honey and put them in a pan. I bet the kids would like balls. These have been a favourite of my family for years.
Yes I saw where it is made with corn syrup too, but I wanted to try and make it healthier with the honey. I don’t do very much heathy..lol They were very good.
I will have to try it and see what they think. The recipe I use came from my mother-in-law.
Right up my alley – The messier the better!
They weren’t as messy as I thought they would be. The grandkids loved them though.
These look like a fun kids’ recipe- sharing with my grandson 🙂
My grandkids had fun making snowmen….lol It took a while for them to cool off and they didn’t set up fast like regular rice krispies do which was nice.
Sounds yummy!
Thank you Robin!
This looks too good!
Thank you!
Oh I am sooo happy to follow your blog. I Love good food and am looking forward to using your menus. God bless you sis!
Thank you! You also have a wonderful & inspiring blog!
The little snowmen are adorable! I’m going to try this recipe. I was just thinking the other day how I hadn’t made Rice Krispies treats in a while, but I’ll make this instead. 🙂
They were so proud of them…lol Thanks Michelle!
These look fantastic!
Thank you Lisa! They are a little healthier than the normal sweet snack.
I’ve made something like your goo balls before, but not for a long time. Your recipe sounds very delicious and easy as well. Thanks for sharing the recipe, Diane.
You’re welcome! They also make them with corn syrup. Thank you Linda!
A fabulous treat indeed 😋
Thank you!
I totally want to try this! I got curious after Hunida mentioned it but forgot to write it down. Will write it down now.
Thanks for sharing the recipe Diane!
You’re welcome Rossy! Hunida’s looked gooier than mine did.
Oh my gosh, these sound amazing!!
Thanks Erica!!!
Have a coughing grandkid with me today, now loving these.
Awww you know you’re next! lol I can’t help cuddling mine when they are sick but they always end up giving it to us both. That’s what grandparents are for…lol
For sure! Sick days are just another opportunity for an unforgettable day.
Thank you dear as that was what we did as children with oat flakes and chocolate. Yes love your version but will have use cornflakes as here no such thing as rice crispies as yet but with so many American troops here building army camps on Russian front maybe we will be graced even with beef steaks soon.
You’re welcome Kevin! Stay safe!
Oh those snowmen look so cute! I used to love playing with all kinds of dough and batter and make snowmen and little structures out of them when I was younger!
One time I went outside and got a bucket of snow and let my granddaughter make tiny snowmen on the counter..hahahaha Needless to say they didn’t last long!
Bet she had a blast!
The snowmen are adorable!!
Thanks for this recipe. I used to love Rice Krispie Squares, but lately have been finding them too sweet. This sounds like a fab alternative.
These would be perfect for you. I found they even tasted better the days following!
Mmm, these look amazing, Diane! I’ll have to try making them. The snowmen are so cute!
Thanks so much! The grandkids had fun making them. I actually thought they tasted better the longer they sat!
Mine tasted better the next two days, too! Interesting!
