Mongolian Beef With Ramen Noodles

Mongolian Beef With Noodles is made with steak, carrots, broccoli, garlic and Ramen Noodles tossed in a delicious sauce and topped off with toasted sesame seeds. This is a quick and easy meal that I absolutely loved!

Ingredients

Break the noodles into small pieces

then prepare the noodles according to

the package, discarding the seasonings.

Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet over medium

heat add vegetable oil.

Toss the steak with the cornstarch.

Once the oil is hot, add the steak strips.

Cook the steak, slightly under cooking.

Turn the steak over browning both sides.

Push the steak to the outer edge

and add the garlic, cooking a minute

until you can smell the garlic.

Transfer to a plate and set aside.

Reduce heat to medium low and add the

sesame oil, soy sauce, brown sugar and

chicken broth, scraping the bottom

of the pan as you bring it to a boil.

Continue to cook and stir for

3-5 minutes until the liquid is reduced.

Add the broccoli and carrots.

Cook with a lid for 3-5 minutes

until the vegetables are tender.

Return the steak to the pan

with the vegetables.

Toss in the noodles, green onions,

red pepper flakes and sesame seeds.

Mongolian Beef With Ramen Noodles

Ingredients

  • 2 packs of Beef Ramen Noodles, discarding the seasonings
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1# sirloin or skirt steak strips, sliced thin against the grain
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 head broccoli florets, broken into small pieces
  • 1 large carrot, peeled and sliced
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • pinch of red pepper flakes
  • toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Directions

  1. Break the noodles into small pieces and cook according to the package directions but discard the seasoning packet. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat add the vegetable oil.
  3. Toss the steak with the cornstarch.
  4. Once the oil is hot add the steak strips. Cook a couple of minutes turning to brown both sides. Do not over cook.
  5. Push the steak to the edge of the pan and add the garlic to the middle cooking another minute or until you can smell it. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
  6. Reduce the heat to medium low and add the sesame oil, soy sauce, brown sugar and chicken broth. Cook, scraping the bottom of the pan, and bring to a boil.
  7. Continue to cook until the liquid is reduced for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Add the broccoli and carrots, cooking with a lid, for another 3-5 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
  9. Toss in the noodles, green onions, red pepper flakes and sesame seeds then serve.

  1. Wow! Thank you for sharing this awesome recipe – I want to make this! We had stir fry for dinner last week and this would be a great alternative to the standard stir fry dinner. This was something I thought you could only get at a Mongolian grill – I never thought about making it myself!

  2. Omg… Didn’t see anything from you in awhile and thought I read you’d be away with your hubby so wasn’t concerned. Today I see that somehow I wasn’t following you anymore. Don’t know how THAT happened. But I’m back🙂

    • It was WP! They really had a problem….. removing followers, not letting me like certain blogs and not letting me comment on even more. We aren’t the only ones that had problems but now they seem to have it fixed because everything is working again. Glad you refollowed Sue!

    • ^I wanted to stop by and say I not only did I make it for supper that night but several nights since. My hubby LOVES it. Every single time he says “that sauce you make with this is so flavourful”. I don’t precook the noodles, I just add them in with the broccoli and carrots and let them simmer in the sauce 🤣
