Smoked Veggie Dip
This is the 3rd dip recipe I am sharing from the dry dip packets we use to sell. This has a smoked flavor due to the smoked paprika but feel free to use regular paprika if you don’t like a smoked flavor.
In a small bowl stir together the sour
cream and lemon juice until creamy.
Combine the remaining ingredients.
Stir them into the sour cream, mixing well.
Refrigerate, covered, for a few hours
or overnight then serve with veggies.
Smoked Veggie Dip
- 2 Tbsp. dried chopped chives
- 1 tsp dry dill weed
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp onion salt
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 cup sour cream
- In a small bowl stir together the sour cream and lemon juice until creamy.
- Combine the remaining ingredients. Add them to the sour cream and stir until completely combined.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Serve cold with veggies.

I just made some potato salad yesterday afternoon, and I’ll bet that a few spoonfuls of this would have been great in there – or on a baked potato! Or thin it down a bit with buttermilk – et voilá – a delicious salad dressing. Very versatile recipe. ;->
Oh yes it sure would…great idea! I love it on baked potatoes but never thought of potato salad. Thank you Judilyn.
Wow again a nice and simple recipe from you…
Thanks so much! 💕
This looks so yummy!!! I’ll have to try it!
Thank you these dips taste great on baked potatoes too.
I also add dips to the starters. Your dips are interesting, I haven’t done such yet. Thanks you.
Thank you! They are so easy to make.
Oh, that looks very Christmassy.
I would have to leave out the lemon but the rest looks safe.
Try it on a baked potato too! Thank you!
I’m not into smoked too much but with regular paprika I guess it should be a perfect deep for my veggies 🙂 Thank you Diane!
My husband doesn’t like the smoked paprika either. Regular tastes great too! You’re welcome!
Yum! This would be fantastic for a party. The presentation also looks nice.
Thank you Lisa! It has a wonderful smoky taste.
Looks so yummy & I just love the smoky flavor in here.
Thank you it’s amazing how much smoke flavor is in the smoked paprika!
Totally making this tonight! I’m in charge of the appetizer. I’m using Southwest Chipotle seasons vs Paprika, so let’s home it tastes good 🙂
Oh yes it should be great! I LOVE Chipotle!
It was delicious! Just enough spice! I also used fresh dill bc I happened to have some for another recipe I plan to make this week. Thanks for the inspiration <3
