Classic Balsamic Vinaigrette

Balsamic Vinegar is one of my favorite flavors. Using this delicious Classic Balsamic Vinaigrette on a salad is better than any store bought salad dressing, it costs just pennies and only takes a couple minutes to prepare. It can also be used as a marinade.

Ingredients – Also add lettuce

and any other vegetables you love.

Combine the olive oil, balsamic vinegar,

mustard, honey, garlic, salt and pepper in a

small bowl or container with a lid used for

shaking. Whisk or shake until combined.

Serve on a salad or as a marinade.

 

Classic Balsamic Vinaigrette

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • salt & pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Combine all of the ingredients and whisk well or place in a sealed container and shake until combined.
  2. Pour over prepared salad or use as a marinade.
  3. Refrigerate for up to 5 days.

  1. This is something I need to experiment more with. It’s such a powerful flavor. I have narrowed it down to my favorite being from Trader Joes…of course might be because I like the bottle!
