Slow Cooker Chicken Thighs & Gravy
Tender and moist Chicken Thighs that cook for 4 hours in the Slow Cooker and it makes its own gravy. The picture is exactly how the chicken came out of the slow cooker, before adding the water to make the gravy. I put the Chicken Thighs and Gravy over cooked noodles or mashed potatoes….so good!
Ingredients
Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
Slice the onion.
Lay sliced onion over the top of the chicken.
In a small bowl combine the onion soup mix,
brown gravy mix, pepper, salt, paprika and water.
Whisk until combined.
Pour mixture over the chicken.
Cook on low for 4 hours.
Remove the chicken and onions from
the slow cooker, cover and keep warm.
To make the gravy:
Whisk together the cornstarch and
6 Tbsp. of water. Slowly pour the water
mixture into the slow cooker and stir. Stir
and cook until gravy is hot and thickened.
Serve chicken and gravy over
mashed potatoes or noodles.

Looks delicious. I bought a slow cooker 6 years ago and used it once. This could be be a great opportunity for its second meal.

Enjoy it is so good! I don’t eat the skin but I leave it on while it cooks for flavor. It will pop right off and the chicken is amazing!

Yes, I had to sneak that comment in! I would do the same thing – I can hear my mother saying “couldn’t you cut it up, put some ranch dressing, parsley, onion salt and at least had it on a sandwich?” Nope. Easier this way.

The thighs are definitely the best part of the chicken, and especially with the skin on. Looks delicious.

Usually when I cook them with the skin on in the slow cooker, I take them out when they are cooked and broil them until the skin gets crispy….so good!
