I created this easy Creamy Italian Salad Dressing because somebody asked me for a recipe. I used the king of salads (my hubby) as my taste tester. He eats salad every single day and he loves Creamy Italian Salad Dressing. He gave me a thumbs up for this recipe. You will get 4 bottles of salad dressing from the dry mix.

  1. Noting beats homemade salad dressing. I try to make my own every time. However, a bottle Ranch is always on hand for the kiddos:-) Going to try this next time.

    • Ranch is one I want to create. My grandkids love Hidden Valley Buttermilk and they put it on everything. So it will be a challenge making it taste the same…..one day!

  2. Well, it’s coming up fresh-from-the-garden-veggies … or maybe not here in our part of the country. That’s my favorite kind of dressing too. I use the Hidden Valley Greek yogurt dressing on sandwiches sometimes instead of honey mustard- they are tangy. I just wrote them and asked why they can’t have a hole in the top – plop … half the dressing comes out at one time!

      • My Comcast is down (grrr – it has been happening a lot lately), so I don’t know if they wrote back. I’ll bet they won’t … and funny, I had to go through this process since I sent a “suggestion” … it wasn’t like I would patent my comment. 🙂 Yes, the neck of the bottle is too skinny to put a knife in, and it comes out as a big blob. It is Hidden Valley Greek Ranch Yogurt dressing.

  3. So, I heard back from Hidden Valley Diane – this makes no sense … NONE of the yogurt dressings have the little hole … this is what I got back – SMH!

    Hi Linda,

    My question:

Hi, I use your product on sandwiches – I like the tangy taste. But I turn the bottle upside down and out comes a big plop. Would you consider putting a hole in the top of the bottle?

    • So it sounds like they didn’t put it in by mistake? We never have one in our Hidden Valley Ranch either…never! We end up wasting half of it. Kudos to them for getting back to you so quickly. If you send them the information they will probably send you a coupon for a free bottle.

      • I was surprised they wrote back so quickly too Diane – I wasn’t sure they knew what I meant though. I don’t know whether to write back and clarify better? That is about 3.50 for a small bottle, so when it comes out in a glob it makes me mad.
