This is interesting! What is made from the imitation crab?
It is made with the fish surimi and other added ingredients. This can also be made the same way with real crab.
Oh I see. Thank you 😊
When I’m hungry and don’t know what I want, I will throw this together and grab some Ritz crackers – YUM!!!
What a great idea! Everything is great on Ritz crackers! One of these days I want to make a sandwich out of it too!
Love!!
Thank you Laura it is so tasty! Have a great day!
You too!!
Oh, this looks really easy!
It is easy and it tastes so good! Thanks Jonetta!
So easy! And so tasty! Great recipe Diane!
Thanks Jess! I just finished it up for lunch…YUM!
You’re welcome!
Looking forward to making this one. Chicken salad is delicious, I would assume imitation crab salad would be as well. Thanks for the recipe.
Oh yes it is fabulous! If I would have had a croissant I would have made a sandwich! Instead I ate it just like this!
Putting it on top of a bed of spinach would be yummy too.
Great idea I even have an unopened bag in the refrigerator…lol
Sweet!!!! I bet it’ll be tasty. Nothing is better than a salad on top of a salad. 😉
Great idea! I just happen to have a package of crab meat in the fridge! 🙂
Let me know what you think of it. It took me forever to figure out the right combination of ingredients. Every time I made it, it was just not perfect until now. Thanks Robin!
Perfect for the Lenten season too!
Absolutely since it’s made with fish. ❤
Yup, you’ll give people ideas for Friday meals. We always had meatless meals or fish during Lent and always on Good Friday. My mom used to make a tuna roll with Pillsbury crescent rolls – rolled them out altogether, stuffed it with tuna, cheese, celery – don’t remember what else, and baked it … wonderful. I ate 3/4s of it, my mom wasn’t a fish fan.
Good Friday was the only day we didn’t eat meat during Lent. Dad was a fisherman so we usually had perch. I bet the Tuna Roll was delicious! Gosh I wish I had known your mom. She sounds amazing!
Yes, my mom was really adamant about having fish on Good Friday for sure. I will look and see if she had that recipe in her binder if you’d like. Sometimes she just had it in her head. It was good and when it was just the 2 of us, she would have one small piece and I’d have the rest … sometimes cold the next day.
No thank you…lol Not crazy about fish since I got older. I think my parents made me eat too much as a kid. I do like perch but I have to smoother it in tartar sauce.
OK :). My father was German and he liked rollmops which were creamed herring and they were in a jar of this white sauce. That was really the only fish he liked – let’s just say my mom and I never fought him to share the jar.
Ewwwww that does not sound good. Strange as it is though, I love any kind of smoked fish….no idea why…hahahaha
I don’t think I’ve had smoked fish – is it the same as having blackened or seared fish? Now I have had that in a restaurant.
Oh no, completely different taste. Doesn’t taste like fish at all. My favorite is smoked catfish. Very expensive to buy it.
OK, wasn’t sure – nope, never had smoked fish then. I do like catfish and used to get it at some franchise restaurant I used to go to, maybe Chili’s or Applebee’s.
Looks yummy!
Thank you David it tasted really delicious! I always get this at salad bars and finally figured out the perfect combination of ingredients.
Thanks!❤💕💖

I could eat this every week and yes, it is so simple to make. Thank you!
That is one of the few “fishy” things I like!
I’m with you Karla! I will eat perch & walleye but they have to be breaded and have a ton of tartar sauce on it. Lol
