We love Crab Cakes but because of the price of crab, I rarely make them. We could only find crab that was small pieces of white meat so if you can find lump crab pieces, use them instead. However, the small pieces didn’t affect the taste at all, they were still delicious. These Crab Cakes are very easy to make and delicious. I made them, put them in the refrigerator overnight and cooked them for our lunch the next day.

  1. I pinned this one the last time you posted it, but haven’t made them yet. Crab meat is not cheap to buy. I will make this one of these days because it looks so delicious.

  2. These sound amazing! I’m a Maryland native so I’m crabcake-obsessed but have never actually tried to make them myself. I think I’m going to try this recipe next month when I’m there visiting family…just sounds too good! Thanks for sharing, Diane!

  3. I love crab cakes, and these look wonderful! My family knows that when we try a new restaurant, I will always sample the crab cakes. I’m lucky enough to be able to find Maine crabmeat from my local fish monger sold in little freezer bags of 8 ounces, which is also what I need for my recipe! Love that you are using your trusty iron frying pan for these!

  4. Omg YUM! I love crab but I rarely get to eat it because of the stinkin price. But Ooooo do I LOVE crab cakes, they remind me of crab hamburgers 😀
