Hmm … I love oxtail..and yours look so good!
Thank you Mel!
Yummy once again, always love seeing what recipes you come up with. Our family loves our slow cooker. It kept us sane when we were rebuilding our little red house up north. They are perfect for days when you are just way to tired to cook anything too complicated. I have a link back to your site. I picked you as one of my favorite posts this month. Thank you for doing this. Have a great day.
OMG you are so sweet! Thank you so much for your kind words and for posting my link!
Brought back precious memories of my Oma with this recipe. She made Oxtail Soup all the time. I remember the big kettle on the stove simmering for hours. So much easier in a slow cooker!
Aw thanks for sharing that memory! Isn’t funny how we remember our loved ones with food. And yes, much easier with a slow cooker!
This looks so tasty and nourishing—big chunks of carrots that melt in your mouth—yum! Perfect for a cold winters day like today. 🙂
You are so kind! I couldn’t believe how tasty the oxtail was! Thanks so much!
What a delicious dish!
Thank you Valerie it is a definite keeper!
Looks like a great filling meal!
It is definitely filling and the taste of the oxtail is fabulous!
Thank you!
Never had oxtail soup or stew before … never have seen it cooked up either.
I really enjoyed it! All these years buying beef and they never told me I could get the tail! The butcher probably keeps them all and sells them since nobody asks…lol They are expensive in the store!
That’s interesting – I can’t say I’ve ever seen it in a butcher shop – beef tongue maybe, but not oxtail. Now you know to ask! You’re right I am sure … butcher is making a profit on those who do not ask. I can remember going to the butcher shop to get a few soup bone for my mom’s Winter soups she’d make. They’d hand them over – no problem, then they started charging for them!
That is the other thing we pay for when we pay to have them process our meat. I always want the bones to make bone broth but I never have enough room in my freezer so they get to keep them and resell after I already paid for them. We are in the wrong business..lol
You’re right Diane – LOL!
Looks amazing!
Thank you!
