Steak Marinade – Version 2
When you use marinade on a steak, not only does it give the steak a wonderful flavor, it also helps to make the steak more tender. You can leave the steak in the marinade for 6-12 hours. I left mine in for about 6 hours and it tasted perfect to me. Once it is ready, cook your steak your favorite way and to your desired doneness. I love a steak cooked on the grill but it is too cold outside so I opted for it cooked my other favorite way, a cast iron pan on the stove.
Ingredients
In a small bowl combine
all of the ingredients.
Place the steak into a
large Ziploc bag.
Pour the marinade over the steaks.
Keep the steaks separated.
Squeeze out the air and seal the bag.
Place the bag on a plate and
refrigerate for 6-12 hours.
Drain the marinade and cook the steak
your favorite way and until your
desired doneness.

This looks delicious!!!!
Thank you!!
That sounds great!
I’ve started buying almost any cast iron I come across in thrift stores to try and rehabilitate it.
I did that with almost every piece I own. I was very lucky and a young lady was selling a huge collection of them her grandma owned but had passed away. They were rusty and looked nasty. She had no idea what they were worth, even in that condition. It took me a while but check out the post I did of before and after. http://indianeskitchen.com/2017/04/04/cleaning-cast-iron-pans
I can’t wait to read this! I just bought my first corn stick pan for $2.98. It’s going to need work so your post will come in handy!
Wow that was a great price!!!!
All hail the zip lock! We could never eat lamb chops until we started doing this. Heaven…thanks for the reminder! Happy Sunday…a day of cooking for therapy.
You’re welcome. They do work great for this.
That looks super easy and it is such a great idea!

You’re so welcome Donna!
We don’t eat a ton of beef, but I imagine this would taste delicious on chicken or pork as well. And I’m all about a marinade or rub followed by a good broil lately. Thanks!
I agree with you! I never use to do it either way and now I can’t wait to! Thanks Myndi and have a great week!
Not a huge steak fan…but cast iron skillet on the stove is the way to go…
You are so right! Usually I melt butter and just salt and pepper but it was a nice change using marinade. Thanks Matt!
I’m a really big fan of this! Thank you Diane!!
You’re welcome!
I usually just marinate them in Italian dressing, or simple salt and pepper…
Italian Dressing is my favorite marinade on chicken. So good! I never tried it on steak. Thanks!
I like it on most anything!
