Sausage & Cheese Taco Pasta
I love the taste of taco seasoning so I used it to create this amazing Sausage & Cheese Taco Pasta. I added medium salsa to kick the heat up a bit and add even more flavor but you can use mild, medium or hot salsa in this recipe.
Ingredients
Place the sausage and the onion
into a large frying pan breaking
up the sausage until crumbly.
Cook over medium heat and
fry until no pink remains.
Add the taco seasonings,
pepper and tomatoes.
Stir to combine.
Pour in the salsa.
Stir well and set aside.
In a large pot add salt to the water and
cook pasta according to package directions.
Drain the pasta and place it in the sauce.
Place pan back on the burner over
medium heat and cook until sauce is hot.
Once hot add the cheese.
Gently toss until the cheese is melted and
mixed in then remove from the heat.
Place on serving plates
and serve immediately.

I make a sausage pasta that my friends really like, so I bet they’d love this one! I’m going to have to try it out the next time we get together. 🙂
It would be great for a group of friends! Hope they enjoy it as much as we did!
Looks yummy and easy. Something my family would love. Thanks
Thank you Lisa it is a great family meal for sure.
Hmm..I love pasta…and that’s look yummy!
I will definitely be making it again! Thanks Mel!
Rolling through this site for the first time, and I have to say, Wow! You really have an eye for the dish! I’m impressed. We do mostly vegan at my house. Hint hint. I think I’ll follow along. Thanks.
My husband just started eating vegan so sit tight, I may be posting some recipes! Thank you Jim!
Excellent! Your kichenesque homing instincts look right up my alley. I think this’ll work pretty well for me. Thanks
This sounds really good.
Thank you we loved it! The grandkids said it was too spicy because I used medium salsa…lol It was perfect to me but next time I make it for them I will use mild.
I like a little heat in my food so that’s perfect.
Just to illustrate the range you find in any accomodative grocery store here in New Mexico – my usual low to medium hot salsa is a garlic chipotle base. Then, there usual is another 20 feet of shelves to choose from. Plus local roadside stands.
I would love that!!! The spicier the better!
This looks great!!!
Thank you Connie I was so happy with the flavor.
That sounds delicious!
Thank you Aurian!
Oh nice! I love tacos & pasta, but never thought of combining them before!
I do my best thinking in bed….lol You wouldn’t believe the things I think up at night. Thank you Erica!
That’s like me in the shower 😆
😂🤣😂🤣
Definitely something my husband and I would enjoy, and if I set aside a portion without cheese, my kids will love it, too (I know, who doesn’t love cheese, right?!?). Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome Myndi! I did that for my grandkids too. My granddaughter hates cheese so I just dished theirs out first and then added the cheese. It worked just fine.
This looks so good. I believe my family would love this dish!
Thanks Lisa! We loved it!
That something I would like – I’d even eat it cold!
We are so much alike! I ate it hot the first day then ate the leftovers cold.
We sure are – I could imagine having that pasta the next day. My mom loved spaghetti and she would make baked spaghetti and put the rest in a container … it was a joke because she would go in there and take a little dish and keep eating a little more out of it til there was not enough to make leftovers for both of us. I said, why keep wasting little dishes, just eat it and enjoy it!
Hahahaha that’s hilarious. I am so lucky because my husband doesn’t care for leftovers so I get most of them!
Sounds yummy. I am going to try this 😀
We loved it! Thank you!
So need to try!
It is really delicious enjoy!
Thank you ! I’ll let you know when I make it
I would love that! Thank you!
