My mother used to make something like this when I was growing up. I had forgotten all about it until I saw your post. I’ll have to ask her about her recipe and compare. 🙂
Oh yes please do and let me know the difference.
I will!
Thanks Amanda!
It turns out that it’s almost exactly like yours! She says she didn’t use a whole onion, because my father doesn’t like onion very much, but that’s the only major difference. How funny is that?
Awesome! It is an old recipe. Thanks for letting me know Amanda!
Thanks for the idea for lunch today
You’re welcome! Enjoy!
It was fantastic, I left out the celery.
Great so glad you liked it! Thank you for letting me know. 🥰
Hot sauce and a drop of soy sauce and I’m about to burst.
It is very filling..lol

This is fantastic, I’m a vegetarian and making dishes like this with meat substitutes is so awesome!
Oh I bet and what a nice change of flavor for the meat substitute. Thanks so much Ms. Kinney!
It used to be a staple around my home (minus the celery and onions)! Really good! Just add soy sauce!
Oh I agree, soy sauce is wonderful with this!
Nice!
Thanks Dan!
