Italian Meatballs
My husband gave me a break today and made the grandkids and myself homemade Italian Meatballs with spaghetti. He even did all of the dishes! This week just gets better and better! They tasted very good and were easy to make. He baked them in the oven and then simmered them in the spaghetti sauce…fabulous!
Ingredients
In a large bowl add all of the ingredients.
Using your hands, combine
all of the ingredients.
Place foil on a baking sheet.
Spray the foil with cooking oil.
Using an ice cream scoop
make balls with the meat
and place them on the foil.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree
oven for 30 minutes.
Remove from the oven and refrigerate,
freeze or use immediately.
Place half of the spaghetti sauce
in the bottom of a medium saucepan.
Place the meatballs on top.
Pour the rest of the spaghetti sauce on top.
Cover and simmer until the sauce
and meatballs are hot then serve.

Perfect timing! One of my boys only recently started trying new foods, and it turns out he’s a meat and pasta lover (as long as it’s simple). Meatballs are high on his list, and I’ve been meaning to look for a meatball recipe. 😀
Here is another one my grandkids loved that I posted last year. http://indianeskitchen.com/2017/10/06/meatballs
Thanks! I’ll check it out.
I have just got to try this ☺💖
Enjoy my hubby was so proud!
This looks like a super easy and “kid likable” recipe! Plus I have everything on hand! Thanks for the idea! ❤️
You’re welcome! Our grandkids loved them.
I made a huge batch so I can add them to meals during the week! 😁 I have the last batch in the oven now…
Great idea! One batch, one mess then easy peasy!
That’s what I love about your blog….easy and practical recipes for families… ❤️

Thanks! My hubby did good…lol
great meal, great week!
Yes it really has been! Thanks!
Oh! I’ve always cooked the meatballs in the pan on top of the stove. I’ll definitely try baking them next time.
They are so good this way. After you bake them them, warm the sauce with the meatballs…so good!
Such a hearty dish! The Italian in me thanks you!
Lol you’re welcome!

Thank you!
Welcome
They look delicious and really italian😉😋
Thank you Ortensia!
That’s a good idea to bake them, I fry them and they can fall apart! Think I will try this. Thanks.
Oh yes do try baking them they turn out so good! You’re welcome!
You should make a vegan version of this to make it healthy & cruelty-free (with vegan meat/cheese/eggs, etc)
Unfortunately I have never cooked vegan. Not that it wouldn’t benefit me…lol
Actually there’s no difference in the cooking, it’s exactly the same just with different ingredients. Like if you aren’t a fan of frozen premade “meat” balls then there are super super simple & cheap homemade recipes online to swap with your current one; As for the dairy products the vegan ones are store bought and to be used just the same as the non vegan versions, usually more affordable and always more healthy and safer than animal products.
Definitely a health benefit. I don’t buy too much processed food but we do buy a side of beef every year. I think my husband would divorce me if I changed the way I cook. I admire that you eat so healthy!
Omg haha well hopefully he isn’t just with you for the food.. But don’t be a stranger if you’re looking to change up your recipes! I’m in the process of creating some comfort type meals and this has definitely inspired me.
Oh I will definitely be checking out your recipes. Thanks for checking out mine as well Amanda!
Luckyyy youuuu❣️😊 he did an awesome job 👍 the dish looks delicious by the way😋
Thanks Jyo I will tell him!
Sounds like you got a great hubby! Looks delish!
I sure do! Thanks Erica!
My grandkids love pasta, so this would be a hit when they come for dinner. Looks easy and tasty. I have never mixed beef and sausage for meatballs, but I can see how this would give them a great taste.
It was an amazing taste and a nice change from plain ground beef. You could even use a hotter sausage if you like a bite!
You’re week is on a roll Diane – buy a Lotto ticket!
