Easy Pan Pork Chops
Easy, quick, moist, tender and delicious Pan Pork Chops! There are very few Pork Chops recipes that I have loved. I don’t really like white meat but this……OH MY GOSH! There are so many flavors and what a great combination! My husband ALWAYS pours ketchup over his Pork Chops but not with this one! I cut this recipe out of a magazine over 15 years ago.
Ingredients
Salt and pepper both sides of each pork chop.
In a large non stick frying pan over
medium heat add the butter,
oil and the sliced onions.
Cook the onions until softened, about 5-8 minutes.
Push the onions to the side of the pan.
Turn the heat to medium-high heat
and place the pork chops in the pan.
I ran out of room so I just put the
onions on top of the pork chops.
Cook for one minute on each side.
Turn the heat to low. Using a pastry brush,
lightly coat the top side of each pork chop
with BBQ sauce. Sprinkle the dried
oregano on top of each pork chop.
Put a lid on the pan and cook for 5 minutes.
Turn the pork chops over and
cook 5 more minutes with the lid.
Make sure the internal temperature
is at least 160 degrees then remove
the pork chops to a serving plate.
Turn the heat to high and continue
to cook the onions and liquid stirring
constantly.
Once most of the liquid is gone,
remove the pan from the heat.
Pour the onions and any remaining
liquid on top of the pork chops and serve.

That makes me hungry lol!! Thanks Diane!
You’re welcome!
This sounds like it would be good. I dislike dried out porkchops. Did you put BBQ sauce on both sides, or just the one?
Just on one side and very, very light like a tsp on each one. They are not meant to be BBQ pork chops it’s just the flavor of the sauce really adds a lot of flavor to the pork chops. Seriously, my husband never eats pork chops without being smothered in ketchup and he went crazy over these and he said they were so good he didn’t need anything added to them. He also said I better make them this way again…hahahaha
I have some porkchops in the freezer, I will try them this way. Thanks for sharing this Diane. Pinned.
You’re welcome!
sounds scrumptious 🙂

Those look absolutely delicious!
Thank you Valerie!
Sounds good! I’ll have to try it in a few days. 🙂
Awesome! They were amazing so enjoy!
Yum 🙂
Thank you!
Can you do this with other meat or is it strictly pork?
I would definitely make it with chicken instead of pork. But pound the chicken to an even thickness so it cooks evenly.
Ok. Thanks for the tip!
You’re welcome!
And the next day, there is nothing like a cold porkchop sandwich!
I didn’t even use bread. I ate the last two cold with my fingers for lunch…hahahaha I had to apologize to my husband because I told him he could have them. I took one look at them and couldn’t help myself….oops!
That’s funny – hey, I would be guilty with that too. I love next-day cold meat sandwiches – meatloaf and pork chop and even meatball sandwiches … and why waste time heating them up? Enjoy as is!
Oh my gosh!!! :'( that is so delicious! I’m starving now! Oh my!

I love this!!! I’m one of THOSE millennials who is just starting to cook more at home. Thanks for sharing the Step-By-Step process. Pork is something I stray away from, because I don’t know if I’ve fully cooked it all the way. BUT this is a game changer! Thank you, following for your delicious meals!
