Baked Sugar Snap Peas
Sugar Snap Peas are so sweet and delicious that I love to eat them right off the vine. However, these Sugar Snap Peas are from the store and I decided to bake them in the oven. This is such a quick and simple side dish that tastes so good! If you’re looking for a new vegetable for dinner, give these a try.
Ingredients
Cut the ends off of the Sugar Snap Peas
and pull the string off of the edge.
Place in a single layer on an
ungreased baking sheet.
Use a pastry brush and lightly coat the top side
of the Sugar Snap Peas with the sesame oil.
Sprinkle the Sugar Snap Peas with the
Kosher salt and pepper to your taste.
Bake in a preheated 450 degree oven for 3 minutes.
Using a spatula flip the Sugar Snap Peas
and bake an additional 4 minutes.
Place them in a serving bowl and enjoy!

Oh the color!
They always are so green and crunchy!
Those are good raw!
Oh yes! I could eat an entire bag of them raw!
I love veggies!
Looks so delicious ! I could very well imagine the beautiful flavor of sesame oil.
Oh yes sesame oil is fabulous! Thanks Megala!
Sounds and looks nice!
Thanks if you like crunchy you would love these!
I don’t mind crunchy.
I bet these are amazing with sesame oil! Olive oil is always my go-to for roasting vegetables if I’m not cooking an Asian-cuisine recipe but this is such a great idea, thank you!
You’re welcome! I use it with green beans too. http://indianeskitchen.com/2017/07/22/sesame-green-beans-with-sea-salt
Sounds so good, I’m gonna be trying it soon 🙂 Thanks!!
You’re Welcome!
Wonderful idea! I didn’t realize Sugar Snap Peas could be baked!
Not very long, they still have a crunch but are very good!
Those look really good!
Thanks Valerie! The sesame oil gives them a really nice flavor.
Thank you!
I rarely eat these cooked (because I like them raw). Think I will have to try this, but will probably just use the air fryer for convenience. Thanks for the suggestion.
Your welcome. Just make sure your don’t over cook them or they will lose their crunch.
Oh no…soggy peas will not do. Can’t wait to try these.
I’ve never thought of using sesame oil to bake vegetables. Have you tried this with regular green beans, and if so – is it good, too?
http://indianeskitchen.com/2017/07/22/sesame-green-beans-with-sea-salt This was very good!
👍🏻
Thanks!
You’re welcome mam
Simple and quite tasty. I remember picking and eating sugar snap peas in my grand mothers garden. Thanks for bringing out a happy memory.
You’re welcome! Thank you for sharing your wonderful memory!
I’ve never had these – I’m learning a lot here at your blog Diane.
OMG they are so good and crunchy. I seriously can eat them right off the vine they are so good!
I’m going to try this tonight, brilliant!!😊
so tempting! yum!
Thanks!
The sesame oil sounds like a tasty complement to the sweet peas, Diane. I used to eat sweat peas right off the vine as a child, a looong time ago…
Thank you the oil was very good. Yes indeed eating them right off the vine is so good!
I haven’t tried baking peas, like you, I prefer to eat them straight from the plant. Much yummier.
