Pasta Primavera

What an easy dish to make with only four main ingredients. Pasta Primavera can be made in a short time and it looks like you spent hours making it. Add whatever veggies you would like as they can be fresh or frozen. Make your Alfredo sauce from scratch or if you want a quick meal, buy it at the store. Although I love the taste of homemade Alfredo sauce, it is cheaper to buy at the store than to make your own. The best part of this meal was that my husband made it for me!

In a large pot cook the pasta according to the package direction and drain.

Cook your veggies until they are soft whether they are fresh or frozen.

I love the veggies that come in a bag and can be microwaved.

  1. I make a seafood primavera using shrimp. I parboil the carrots and broccoli. Saute the shrimp in garlic and butter (set to the side). Use a bit of heavy cream, chicken bouillon, parm cheese (to thicken) and a smidge of stock (to thin, if need be). Cook the veggies the rest of the way, then add the shrimp and pasta and all done. I love pasta dishes!

      • It’s from a restaurant I worked in about 20 years ago. You can add fresh herbs too. I can’t give the exact recipe because it’s a “by sight” recipe. But that’s the gist of how it’s made. Leaves lots of room for modifications to the adjust for likes/dislikes.

      • I would have added more to this too but my husband surprised me with dinner last night and made this. He was so excited to contribute to my blog and it was a welcomed surprise after working outside!

      • It’s a great post! Not everyone is comfortable in the kitchen and sometimes easy recipes are called for. Any recipe can be modified to add more components, but if the basics aren’t there, it’s hard to move on. Your hubby did a great job. 🙂

  2. It’s usually me makes these types of dinner in our house as my Good Lady legs it to yoga and other activities 2 or 3 times a week 😉 Veggie Chilli tonite 🙂
