Teriyaki Sauce or Marinade
How many times have you bought an entire bottle of Teriyaki Sauce only to use it once and you threw the rest away? I can’t tell you how many times I have done that, but not any more! This delicious recipe makes just the right amount of Teriyaki Sauce for my style of cooking and it only takes a few minutes to make. It is great as a marinade or in recipes.
Ingredients
Combine all seven ingredients
and whisk well until combined.
Use as a marinade or in

Thanks for a great recipe. You’re right that it’s such a waste to buy things that you use for one recipe and it sits on a shelf until you throw it out.
You’re welcome and it took me all these years to realize how easy it is to make just what you need!
Yes but no Worcestershire sauce in your recipe. Add it and see it is what the Japanese use in theirs and it is less vinegar to use. I like a little wasabe in my sauce.I just pour in over chicken but marinate fish with it.Pretty much same recipe as yours but used it over 40 years from my visit to Japanese gardens on first island. It can change left overs into something delightful. Thank you for your note but add the Ws and see what I mean
Oh you definitely like it hot! I have never tried wasabi but use Worcestershire a lot. I will have to try it your way next time.
great share!
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing, dear Diane
All good wishes

You’re welcome and I love your blog!!! So unique!
Thank you very much, dear friend 🙂
Everything that is selfmade by own experience is a precious thing and so is your blog too 🙂
Have a great day
Didi
and so much healthier and tasty, thanks!
I always make my own teriyaki sauce because it has to be gluten-free. I use rice wine vinegar, fresh garlic and fresh grated ginger and a bit of red pepper flakes, sesame oil. Sometimes I use sugar other times I use honey. Never had it with ketchup before.
Wonderful share !
Lovely
This is great. While traveling in RV I can use this for my grilled chicken. Just the right amount and it’s fresh. Don’t have to waste a bottle and take up more room. Have everything I need right now. Thanks again…
Thanks for the recipe. I had no idea how to make a teriyaki sauce. 🙂
Really? It’s that easy? HA! No more buying bottles that go bad! Thanks! 😀
Not for me either and I love the taste!
This would be awesome on chicken wings!
Oh yes it is amazing on any chicken. That is my favorite way to use it! I’m such a sucker for marinades and sauces!
This is goes so good on chicken! Yum! D, you always make me hungry lol
Hahaha that’s the idea! Chicken is my favorite food to use it on too!
Thanks for this one. I can see this being made over and over.
You’re welcome! Or even double the recipe if you use it more often!
Great recipe. My husband makes a great one as well though with different ingredients. I’ll have to give this one a try.
Thank you I love trying different recipes as well but once I find “the one” I stop trying..lol This was the first time making this one.
Thank you SO much for this! I won’t be buying it again💜
Awesome fresh is always best! You are very welcome Jonetta!
Cool! I often pass over a recipe because of an ingredient I rarely use.
I know what your saying! I use to buy a bottle of Teriyaki, use it once and then it sat in the refrigerator so long that I threw it away.
Yep….
Wow, it’s amazing how easy this sauce is to make. I like the idea of making this sauce when needed. I have way too many different sauces in my refrigerator that I have had for who knows how long, and that I purchased for a specific recipe and have no idea when I will use again.
So true Sheryl! I think that happens to everyone!
Is it wrong of me to say ‘I love you’ for this
Of course not! Thank you!❤
