If you love brownies, chocolate chips and cookies then this recipe is for you. It was a recipe I received in the mail from Hershey’s many, many years ago. You probably have all the ingredients in your cupboard already. This recipe makes about three dozen cookies and didn’t last long in our house!

Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for

9-13 minutes or until cookies are set,

but do not over bake. Only bake one

cookie tray at a time on the center rack

of the oven. Cookies should be soft and

moist when done. Cool on the cookie

sheet for 1 minutes then remove to a

covered counter (I used foil). Cool

completely and store in an

air tight container.

    • You’re welcome! Enjoy they are already gone in my house! Had the grandkids here and I was informed if there were any left they were taking them home….lol There weren’t any left!

  1. Can you suggest an alternative to the shortening? I love brownies, and chocolate chips cookies, and anything Hershey’s but I can’t use the shortening. Any ideas?

    • Eric you can substitute butter or margarine in equal portions. It will have a much better taste but the texture will change some. I use butter in almost all my baked products but this was a Hershey recipe so I tried it as is.

  2. These sound like the perfect cookie, Diane. Mine will get eaten so fast, I don’t think I’ll need the airtight container, though! LOL! This pandemic has turned me into quite a chocoholic.
