Cool Whip Chocolate Pudding Pie
There are only four ingredients in this delicious Cool Whip Chocolate Pudding Pie. Better yet, you can make it in less than 10 minutes. Sometimes even I need a quick fix dessert that tastes fantastic. The nice thing about this pie is that you can make it lower calorie if you want to. You can use skim milk to make the pudding, fat free instant chocolate pudding and Cool Whip light whipped topping. Any way you make it, it is delicious!!!!
Pour the milk into a medium bowl and
add the instant chocolate pudding.
Using a whisk, mix the instant
pudding and milk for two minutes.
Add the Cool Whip.
Fold the cool whip into the pudding
mix until combined well.
Place it into a chocolate pie crust.
Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Top with a dollop of Cool Whip and serve!

I remember when Kraft used to send out a magazine. You just made me remember a chicken in cream sauce that I need. Lol! I’m showing this one to my kiddo. She loves small ingredient lists that are winners. 🙂
Yes that wasn’t that long ago they did that. I thought this was interesting because the recipe was Kraft Canada. I didn’t know they differentiated from the US. My grandkids loved this one too! You’re daughter will love how easy this is!
That looks pretty good. I’m not a big chocolate eater but every once in a while I will eat it as long as it’s not too rich.
Thank you Misty! The Cool Whip breaks up the rich chocolate flavor. It is so creamy!
I will definitely give it a try sometime.
We have not these products in France, but you give the idea – ( with whipped fresh cream, maybe ? )
Thank you, dear Diane – amitiés
Yes that would work and probably taste even better!
Looks yummy 🙂
That looks so creamy!
OMG it was!
I think I would be happy with just the filling! 😊
Oh definitely you could eat it as a pudding…creamy and delicious pudding!!!! Lol
Will make the cool whip chocolate pudding pie very simple to make. Thank you for sharing.
You’re welcome it really is easy and delicious!
Sounds lovely but soon as I saw chocolate pudding mix I stopped reading. Here one can buy chocolate of the Parisian best coco powder made of French chocolate made here and to die for. Not chocolate pudding mix they are simply not that far up to UK standards in that but far surpass us with quality of what they have. Fresh olives lovely hard cheeses from Viking recipe they are so proud of. Meat and veggies all keep at home here as all houses keep poultry and some keep pigs .we bay half pig twice a year from farmer other side of forest. Chickens lay our eggs and turkeys are for anytime as we hatch them all summer. Ill check how to make pudding mix and try your recipe soon. Today hot so get all done before midday and rest. Tonight party time with me roasting a rolled pig. Four days lay flat in brown sugar mix with spices orange zest and left. Then rolled really tight and allowed to drain. Roast on home made build of Travatori oven and serve with home grown tomato and garlic salad in real virginal olive oil and lemon juice. Wines and song and people all English happy to be free from worries no taxes and enjoy Gods sunshine. No room for pudding but have baked a chocolate cake of three layers using real chocolate and ice cream .filled. Bon appetite est bambino.
Wow I am so envious! I would love living like that! We have raised chickens and we buy a side of beef once a year. Most food I make is from scratch including brown sugar, baking powder…etc. You have a fantastic time at your party and thank you for allowing me to dream…lol
It looks wonderful. I will need to investigate Australian alternatives. But what is Cool Whip?
It is a type of whipped cream. It tastes different than real whipped cream but similar.
So weird, I literally made one of these yesterday myself!
OMG that is so funny……and SO GOOD!
yummy , that’s a delicious share!
Thank you it is as delicious as it is easy!
You’ve brought me back to my childhood, Diane. Thank you for that! :- )
You are so welcome! This is an oldie but goodie!
Have you read the ingredients on the Cool Whip package? Not edible, in my opinion. Cream is much better. 🙂
It is used in a lot of recipes where I live. I have been slowly working on making food totally from scratch. I make homemade brown sugar, powdered sugar, baking powder but it takes time to figure out recipes by trial and error. When I retire I will have more time to do this. I save my bacon grease, use lard etc. It takes time but I’m getting there. There are some recipes from my childhood we just love and this is one of them. Thanks for your comment and have a great week!
Thank goodness, Diane — an egg free dessert! (I’m allergic… and it really gets in the way of my sweet tooth!) This pie looks so smooth, cool, and delicious. Hugs!
This one is so delicious! Enjoy!
Oh my…it’s been forever since I made this sort of pie…thanks for reminding me how simple yet amazing it is!!
I know what you mean! I was going through my recipes and that’s how I remembered it! So good!!!
I love chocolate I make it with cream in melted 90 % coco with brown sugar and eggs. Set in pastry and blind bake.Ill try your way but as always no such ingredients found in Latvian supermarkets here ,but real chocolate is in all of them. Pound block just 4 euro. So we can spoil ourselves. I like to bake cakes once a week in winter time with chocolate tops and filling. Cant try our recipe this time as so ,many things just cant buy here yet. It is changing but slowly in this newly set up republic.Even the English and many Americans that reside here have to invent and create own recipes using the many lovely things one can buy here and forget things such as custard powder and pudding mix and all the things from back home. Here find out how its made and make it yourself. I invented many a tasty dish trying all ways over last six years out of Englands green and pleasant land. Anything I can try I will.
You are actually fortunate to be able to make things totally from scratch! So much better for you. However I’m sure it takes a lot of trial and error figuring out new recipes that call for ingredients you can’t obtain. Thank you for your comment!
Super quick recipe with little to clean up.
Looks yummy …
Yes that is one of the best things about it…lol Thank you Isadora!
I have cooked from myself since aged 17. Now 72 and super fit because I garden hard and enjoy life on best food and home cooked. I never look at recipes I have thousands of them in my head and invent thousands more .Building garden kitchens was best way to impress my many friends.
I wish I was your neighbor! Lol
Looks very yummy. Thanks! And thank you for visiting and following Spirituality Without Borders.
You’re welcome! You’re Art of Precious Scars was so Emotional!
Like being back in Mom’s kitchen. She worked, didn’t have a lot of time, but always ready for something fun
Right! My mom made dessert for almost every meal! The recipes back then were simple and good!
That looks simple and delicious! I’ve got to try it.
I’m making it tonight!
Enjoy and let me know what you think!
One thing I learned. It’s impossible to find a chocolate pie crust here.
This looks like the epitome of “melt in your mouth!” Thanks for sharing the recipe.
It definitely was Janet! I was so glad I only made one pie because it disappeared fast! Thanks and have a great weekend!
So delicious and (easy)!! Anything simple made with chocolate – I make!
I’m with you! It’s crazy how something this easy can taste this good!
This looks simple to make and tasty!
Yes it is Jonetta and only 4 ingredients! Thanks so much!
Quick and easy. I remember making pies like this with cool whip when I was younger. Between the processed part and the calories, I stopped doing it, but this is lower calories and the processed part could just be a guilty pleasure for an occasional treat. Thanks for the reminder and update on the lower calorie ingredients available now. Your Latvian reader’s comments are so interesting. I had a lot of “make do” moments in Mexico until I moved about 45 minutes away from a capital city where there is a Costco. They didn’t have everything we take for granted, but it certainly expanded my choices.
We are very fortunate to have so many food choices, I sometimes forget not everyone does. Thank you!
Easy and yummy.. thanks Diane.. looking forward to making it 🙂
You won’t be sorry it tasted creamy and chocolatey. Thank you❤️
