Amish Style Creamy Noodles
This was the BEST creamy noodles I have ever had! I have never made noodles this way before. It made for a great side dish but I could have put chicken and mixed vegetables in it too! Amish Style Creamy Noodles, made my way, had my granddaughter getting into them before supper was even served and my husband went back for seconds! So I guess I have to say this was a huge success!
Ingredients
Boil the water and add the Chicken Better Than Bouillon, stirring until dissolved.
I swear by this stuff but if you don’t have any Better Than Bouillon,
use chicken base instead.
Pour the mixture into a large pot.
Add the butter and heat over medium-low heat until the butter is melted.
Add the soup & chicken broth then stir until combined.
Bring to a boil stirring occasionally.
Once boiling, add the noodles and stir frequently.
Boil until the noodles are cooked to your desired doneness.
Turn off the burner and let the noodle mixture
sit until the liquid is absorbed and then serve.

Looks yummy
Thanks!
Growing up in the Philly suburbs, my (Jewish) grandmother lived and worked in Lancaster, the heart of the Pennsylvania Dutch Country. The Amish can flat cook.
Oh how I would love her recipes!!!
Oh, my grandmother could not cook to save her life. It was just that I was exposed to Amish cooking when we visited her. And they have stalls in Philly’s Reading Terminal Market. Shoo-fly pie? Yes, please!
OMG I have a recipe for that some where! I have to try it. Thanks for reminding me! I have always wanted to try it.
My family loves this kind of noodles. When I make them I have to make a big pot full. Thanks for sharing your recipe.
You’re welcome these turned out amazing! Thanks for visiting today!
Now THAT is using your noodle! Love it.
You’re hilarious! Thanks!
This looks like a good comfort food recipe for these uncertain COVID-19 days/weeks/months.
Yes I think there will be homemade pasta and breads in our future! Stay healthy Janet!
