Baked Parmesan & Bacon Italian Potatoes

Delicious peeled and sliced potatoes that are seasoned, covered with freshly shredded Parmesan cheese and bacon then baked in the oven! Baked Parmesan & Bacon Italian Potatoes are a nice change from your regular potatoes. These could easily be a meal all by themselves!

Ingredients – Also paprika,

olive oil & bacon!

Brush olive oil on the bottom and sides

of an oven safe pan such as cast iron.

Place your peeled and sliced

individual potatoes in the pan

fanning them slightly to separate.

Sprinkle evenly with the dry ingredients.

Dot potatoes with butter.

Cover the pan with either a lid or foil.

Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven

for one hour or until tender. Remove the

pan from the oven and sprinkle with the

Parmesan cheese and bacon. Place

the pan back into the oven, uncovered,

until the cheese melts then serve.

Ingredients

  • 6 medium potatoes, peeled & sliced 1/4” thick and keeping each sliced potato together, don’t let the slices fall apart.
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasonings
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • olive oil to coat the pan
  • 8 Tbsp. (1-stick) butter
  • 6 pieces bacon, cooked and crumbled

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Brush olive oil on the bottom and sides of an oven proof pan such as a cast iron pan.
  3. Place each of the peeled & sliced potatoes in the pan and slightly fan them out to separate.2B936DD0-CF71-4AE8-B7BF-706D302B2D57 See picture at right.
  4. Sprinkle evenly with the dry ingredients.
  5. Dot the potatoes with the butter.
  6. Cover the pan with a lid or foil.
  7. Bake for one hour or until tender.
  8. Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle on the cheese and the bacon.
  9. Put back into the oven, uncovered, until the cheese melts then serve.

It is an good and easy dish to bake in my garden brick oven and serve with pork roast and good Italian wine . 10 friends at table once a month so look for all good ideas to make a great garden party .Rest on weekends go to friends at their party days .So it comes back to me every eleven weeks to do again . Thanks for idea
