Making a Lobster Roll can be as simple or complex as you want to make it. My husband and I went to Mystic Connecticut and there was a little roadside fast food carry out serving cooked seafood. You could eat at the picnic tables outside if you wanted to so we did. We both opted for the Lobster Roll and it was a great choice! They made it simple by stuffing the bun full of lobster with nothing but mayonnaise mixed with it. The bun was grilled with butter and it’s was amazing! Of course fresh lobster was much better than my frozen lobster tails but mine were still delicious!

Ingredients

Roughly chop the cooked lobster meat.

Add mayonnaise to your liking, I used my homemade mayonnaise.

Cut your bun in half and butter the inside of the top and bottom bun.

Place the bun butter side down, in a frying pan, cooking until golden brown.

Place lobster meat mixture on the bun until it is overflowing.

Garnish with celery leaves as they add a lot of flavor.

Place it on your plate and enjoy, I know I did!

  1. Diane, you and I are similar cooks. Simple and easy and lots of flavor. Love seeing your recipes, because some of them give me new ideas for my weekly menus. And some of them are similar to mine so I can try new ideas..and change mine a little………thanks for all your posts.

    • You are so welcome! I think that’s the hardest part of cooking, figuring out what to make! I love your quilting! I have made many quilts and have a basement FULL of material. You inspire me to get back at it!

  2. I love this recipe because I would not have thought to butter the roll, and I think the line between ordinary and extraordinary is probably the butter!

    • You are so right! The added flavor of the butter is huge but even more was the celery leaves. I was so surprised at how much flavor they gave the lobster. It is a definite keeper! Sometimes simple is best! Thank you A. JoAnn!

  3. Ooh, last time I had a lobster roll was …so long ago I can’t recall! Thanks for reminding me to add it to my rotation. It’s so simple to make which is always a plus for those “I’m hangry” moments. Lol
