Fried Corn
This Fried Corn was a nice change from eating corn with just butter like we usually do. This is not sweet corn season and I didn’t have any frozen corn so I used corn from a can. I can hear everyone gasping as I typed that! But seriously, even using the canned corn, this was delicious and a nice change from how we usually eat corn. This recipe is another keeper!
Ingredients
In a small saucepan over medium high heat, melt the butter.
Add all the rest of the ingredients.
Stir to combine the ingredients.
Continue to heat, stirring frequently, until all of the liquid is absorbed.

Looks delicious! I just might have to try this to change it up a little!
I know what you mean! We seem to eat corn the same way every time. This was a really nice change!
Looks delish !
Thanks I love when I throw something together and it turns out tasty!
Nice recipe
Thanks!
Nice side
Yes and a nice change from how we usually eat corn!
Off season I will eat corn straight out of the can, I like it that much. This sounds like a nice change! Must try!
Thank you Audrey!
mouthwatering , my kids like corn will try this some time!
This sounds so good. My mouth is watering and I have to wait until supper time to try it. All I have is frozen corn and that should be good.
Oh frozen corn will probably be better, more like fresh corn! Let me know what you think of it.
Looks Yummy, Going To Try This
I was so pleased with how it turned out! I hope you like it as much as I did.
Looove Fried corn! Made some a week ago, but it wasn’t that good : ( This looks about 10x better, so fried corn redemption shall be had!
I can’t believe I have never had it until now! I can’t wait to try it with freezer and fresh corn too!
Looks spectacular! The canned corn can be surprisingly good too! I tried it with frozen corn last week, but was missing a lot of your ingredients too, so that was probably it more than anything. Have to remember to get some milk tomorrow so I can try that homemade cappucino Sunday, it’s been on my mind quite a bit lol : )
Thank you! I made my own recipe. I just put in what I felt we would like and we were very pleased. I love creating recipes to our likes…lol
Yuppers! Some surprisingly good recipes often come from that! Reminds of the quote about “cooking being an art, and baking a science.” With cooking, the options aer endless with a talented artist : )
When I worked at Dunkin Donuts we sold the cappuccinos and lattes with chocolate and caramel…..so good! So I bought the Smucker’s caramel ice cream topping and added that!
We eat lots of canned corn, usually adding it to other things. I’ve never tried it fried on its a own, and must admit my mouth was absolutely watering reading this recipe.
Thanks Chris! Same here, always with butter or in soup, casseroles but never fried! It was such a nice change of taste! I can’t wait to see how it tastes with fresh and frozen corn!
Would NEVER have thought of this. And as a part-Hungarian, I appreciate new uses for paprika. 🙂
I put paprika in so many dishes. I love the flavor and color it gives the dish!
Mom used to take this one step further and fry up some corn fritters. They were such a pop item in New England BITD you’d see cartoons about using popcorn in the recipe for self-flipping fritters.
OMG that is so funny! My granddaughter was having a cooking lesson when I made these and we both thought this smelled just like popcorn…..lol
Yummy!
Thank you! It was a great flavor!
I love this idea! Some months ago I bought several cans of corn because it was on sale and I couldn’t pass it up. This will be a terrific way to use up All. That. Corn.
Perfect! I love sales too so enjoy!!!
