Taco Pizza

We love Taco Salad so I thought I would create a Taco Pizza. It turned out better than I could have imagined! Pizza crust topped with taco seasoned hamburger and cheese then baked in the oven. When it comes out of the oven add lettuce, tomato and taco sauce…..so good!

Ingredients

In a large fry pan over medium heat,

cook ground beef until it is no longer pink.

Add the dehydrated onion to the

tomato sauce, stir and set aside.

In a small bowl combine water,
taco seasoning and taco sauce.

Pour the water mixture into
the cooked ground beef.

Simmer until most of the liquid is absorbed.

Remove from the heat and pour the tomato sauce

with onions into the ground beef stirring to combine.

Spray a pizza pan with cooking spray.

Place pizza dough on the pan forming it to the edges

and making a slight lip with the dough at the edge.

Bake in a 400 degree preheated oven for 8 minutes.

Remove from the oven.

Place all of the ground beef mixture on the pizza crust.

Place all of the cheese on top.

Bake another 6-10 minutes or until the

crust is golden brown and the cheese melts.

Let the pizza cool for a few minutes and then

add the lettuce and top it off with the tomatoes.

Slice and add taco sauce, optional.

Ingredients

1# ground beef

8 oz Mexican style shredded cheese

2 Tbl dried minced onions

1 pizza crust

2 Tbl taco seasoning mix

3/4 cup water

1/4 taco sauce

8 oz tomato sauce

extra taco sauce to top off with, optional

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In a large fry pan over medium heat, cook ground beef until no longer pink.

Combine tomato sauce and dehydrated onions and set aside.

In a small bowl combine water, 1/4 cup of taco sauce and taco seasoning. Pour into the cooked ground beef and cook on medium until most of the liquid is almost gone.

Remove from the heat and add the tomato sauce with onions stirring to combine.

Spray a pizza pan with cooking spray.

Place pizza dough on the pan forming it to the edge making a lip around the edge.

Bake for 8 minutes then remove from the oven.

Place all of the ground beef mixture on the pizza dough. Top with all of the cheese. Bake for 6-10 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes. Add the lettuce and tomatoes to the top of the pizza. Drizzle with taco sauce, optional, and serve.
