Chocolate Pudding

Do you need a quick dessert that everyone will like? Try this delicious homemade Chocolate Pudding! Make it up the night before or in the morning, put it in the refrigerator and your dessert is ready to go for supper or as a snack. When I was a kid this was the only way we ate pudding. We never had those little processed cups of pudding that last for months in the cupboard.

Ingredients

 

 

In a heavy bottom medium size pan combine the sugar, cocoa, salt and cornstarch.

Slowly whisk in the milk.

Bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil for 2 minutes.

Pour into individual serving cups and refrigerate until Chocolate Pudding sets up.

 

Chocolate Pudding

Ingredients

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup cooking cocoa

1/4 cup cornstarch

1/2 tsp salt

4 cups whole milk

2 Tbl butter

2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

In a heavy bottom medium size pan mix the sugar, cocoa, salt and cornstarch.

Slowly whisk in the milk until the dry ingredients are dissolved.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it boils. Boil for 2 minutes.

Remove from the heat and stir in the butter and vanilla extract.

Ladle into individual serving bowls.

Let cool slightly and refrigerate, covered with plastic wrap.
