How many times do you have to run to the store because you don’t have any Powdered Sugar in the house?  I can’t tell you how many times I needed just a cup of Powdered Sugar and I had to open an entire 2# bag! Then I didn’t use the rest of it for a long time and it lost it’s freshness. Not any more because it is so easy to make Powdered Sugar right at home. I started with 1 cup of granulated sugar and a tablespoon of cornstarch which turned into 1-1/2 cups of Homemade Powdered Sugar before sifting. When you buy Domino’s Powdered Sugar it is sifted, however, it is not necessary to sift and it is completely up to you.

  1. I knew you could do this and I think I even tried it once many, many years ago. I don’t think I knew about adding the cornstarch though. Thanks for the tip.🙋

  2. Great recipe!

True, the rest of the package always ends up unused for a long time

But I think getting a good blender may be key too

Because the ones I have do not blend that finely

  3. Wonderful and yes I had missed this. I use very little of this but when I need it you are do right it’s a pain to store a big bag. Thanks!
