Creamy Italian Salad Dressing
I created this easy Creamy Italian Salad Dressing because somebody asked me for a recipe. I used the king of salads (my hubby) as my taste tester. He eats salad every single day and he loves Creamy Italian Salad Dressing. He gave me a thumbs up for this recipe. You will get 4 bottles of salad dressing from the dry mix.

This sounds so good. I’m definitely trying it.
Enjoy… it was so simple and quick to make but the flavors were so much more intense sitting overnight. My husband loved it.
Thank you for the recipe. My son loves Creamy Italian dressing and I will make it for him when he visits.
You’re welcome! I hope he likes it as much as my husband did.
Love it.
Thanks!
Bookmarked this one! Sounds great!
Thanks!
Nice recipe
Thanks!
I’m gonna tell my mom to make this 🙂 😀
Let me know if you like it. Very easy to make!
I’m excited that your recipe is dairy and gluten free. I will try this! Thanks
You’re welcome and you’re right! I never gave that a thought!
Sounds delicious ! May I use this as a dip for crackers or chips ?
It is probably too runny to use as a dip.
looks good – and love that your hubs has the title “king of salads” ha
He eats one every single day! Me….hardly ever…lol
we have this in common – my spouse has almost daily salads – but I cannot – but I do have a few bites of something fresh – or a handful of radishes – etc
Nice one Diane, going to save this up !
Thanks my hubby really loved it!
Hi Diane!
Do you know why it is named “Italian”, even if we don’t use it?
In Italy we dress salad only with oil salt and vinegar (Mediterranea); this kind of cream are really used in Germany, also with yogurt and cooking cream.
That is fascinating!!!!! I have no idea why. I always figured it was the seasoning. Thank you so much for sharing that with me now you have me wondering.
When you’ll find.. let me know!! If you need some information an italian cuisine, i’m there!!! See you soon Diane!!
Thank you you are so kind!
Do you think yogurt would work as a substitution for the mayo, Diane? I really dislike the taste and consistency of mayonnaise.
I’m sure you could as long as it is plain yogurt.
I had not thought of it, but maybe blueberry-flavored yogurt would add an interesting touch to the dressing! 😊
You could try but it is really sweet. I personally would use plain yogurt and add blueberries. Let me know what you do and how it tastes.
I actually meant that as a joke. Please remind me not to become a stand-up comedienne! 😊
Hahaha hey you never know! That is how great recipes are created!
Adding mayonnaise is a fab idea!
Thank you I even used my homemade mayonnaise! 😀
My husband won’t eat any oil and vinegar dressings, it always has to have a creamy look to it. I try to tell him that mayo is basically just the same thing but whipped, doesn’t matter – it has to look creamy. I do the same as you, I add some store bought creamy mayo to trick his senses. Whatever works eh. I like the herbs and spices added to this one and will give it a try.
Hahaha aren’t husbands funny! My husband will eat anything that says salad dressing. I hope he likes it!
As long as it looks creamy, he’ll like it.
