Fruit Infused Vodka
Do you want a great tasting Fruit Infused Vodka to add to your favorite mixed drinks? Or maybe you want a unique homemade gift to give out at the holidays. Here is your answer! I made these with strawberries, pineapples and blueberries and it only takes 3-5 days to make! The best part is it lasts a very long time.
I was inspired to learn more about infusing vodka through a Facebook group called Cooking From Scratch on Debbie’s Back Porch.
Ingredients
Rinse and pat dry the strawberries and the blueberries.
Cut the strawberries into small pieces after removing the top.
Cut the outer layer off of the pineapple, core it and cut into small chunks.
Measure two cups of each fruit and pour each fruit into a clean quart jar.
Fill each fruit jar with 80 proof (40% alcohol) or 100 proof (50% alcohol) Vodka.
80 proof vodka tastes better and 100 proof will draw out more of the fruit flavor.
I used 80 proof and I let it sit for four days and it turned out great.
Just make sure the fruit is completely covered with the vodka at all times.
Let the jars sit in a dark, cool place for 3-5 days. Shake the jars once per day.
Once they sit, taste them and make sure enough fruit flavor has infused into the vodka.
If it has, strain the fruit from the vodka using a coffee filter or cheesecloth.
Discard the fruit and pour the Fruit Infused Vodka into clean bottles.
Fruit Infused Vodka will keep indefinitely.

Perfect timing, Diane! I am definitely going to try this
Great! So good and great little gifts!
Oh those look lovely! We’ve done it with chocolate nibs before and it’s delish, now time to try some fruits!
OMG chocolate!!!! What are nibs?
Very creative. I make homemade vanilla extract with vodka.
Yes isn’t the vanilla a wonderful taste? I made it for Christmas last year, bought small bottles, filled them and gifted it to all of my family. They loved it!
This is a brilliant idea! And they all look lovely too. I think I shall try the blueberry one. Thanks for sharing!
You are very welcome! If you put the blueberries in the jar and take a spoon to burst them open your will get an even better flavor. Just make sure you strain good. I grow my own blueberries and actually used my frozen ones.
That’s what I am going to do. Use up my frozen ones. Thanks for that tip!
You’re welcome!
Good recipe
Tastes really good! Thanks Mistimaan!
Sounds like a great idea for Christmas gifts.
Definitely great gifts. Buy some small bottles and give them different flavors. Last year I made homemade pure vanilla extract and did the same thing. Vanilla extract takes months to make compared to 3-5 day for this.
HI Diane, the other night I was at a happy hour (not surprising, I know!) and they and a pumpkin infused vodka. It was delicious but tasted more like a pumpkin spice than straight pumpkin flavor. Any idea how they did that one? Would love to get me some more of that!!
They added pumpkin spices with the pumpkin. You can infuse the spices with fruit or even by themselves. You can even put a cinnamon stick in or mix the fruit like strawberry with kiwi. The possibilities are endless!
I guess straining is the key!
Yes just before tasting…lol
Or I could just chew it! Yum 🙂
🍉🍌🍅🍓🍐🍇 woohoo! Lol
Would this method work with other types of fruit? I’m in Georgia so peach comes to mind.
OH YES!!!! Peach would be amazing! Just make sure you strain it good. You can even infuse with herbs or even fruits with herbs. I wish I had peaches that will be amazing!
Oh my, I love this idea! Would it work with rum?
Yes
This is not my thing – could never drink vodka – but my relatives have some polish vodka they stock up on and I will have to share this with them….
Nice shelf life too –
Great gifts for people that like mixed drinks.

Wow that was interesting. It was almost like she was making a liqueur using the simple sugar with it. Thanks for sharing that! In the summer I like to make Cherry Bounce and Raspberry liqueur. They are made by fruit, sugar and alcohol sitting in the sun in clear large bottles. Very tasty!
Well the joke of the video is that she poured maybe too much. Vodka – and there are spoof videos that have fun with “two shots of vodka” and it has become a joke phrase in many parts 💛
I noticed that! She even said it will be strong….lol
Hah
Your summer brew sounds delish
They are very good, but sweet. They are great for gifting too!
Just wow…A brilliant gift idea..Although I will have to sample to make sure it is perfect…lol…
Well of course! Just like a chef has to taste their food…hahahaha
Indeed every good chef..Hic
You’re hilarious!!!
Reblogged this on Retired? No one told me! and commented:
Oh Yes! Now, who wouldn’t love a gift like this??? and sooooo easy to make…..This one can go to the top of my to try list…. Hic
Thanks for sharing my post Carol!
Purely for selfish reasons…haha…Seriously great recipe
LOL I don’t blame you! Have a great weekend!
I really love the idea of placing them in Mason jars. As the holiday season starts kicking off, these would make great presents! Add a cute festive ribbon and you got yourself a gift. Great Post!
Thanks Jessica!
Hi Diane someone on the reblog asked is it the vodka you taste or the fruit?
You still taste the vodka but with the fruit flavor added to it. It usually is added to a mixed drink to enhance the flavor. Kind of like buying flavored coffee ground coffee. Still tastes like coffee but with the added flavor.
Thank you, Diane I will let them know 🙂
You’re welcome!
Wow. I need this for ‘those’ nights. Thanks for sharing!
Wait…just for those nights….hahaha You are very welcome Alice!
Wow! that looks colorful!
It really is! And it started turning colorful immediately. Thanks Dan!
Simple and dramatic results. I’d love to try one kind. 🙂
Hi indianeskitchen. Prefer whiskey. Many thanks for liking “Hovering!” Be Safe #TheFoureyedPoet.
Whiskey works too! Have a great day!
Wow. This recipe like looks easy and refreshing.
I made a grapefruitcello a few years back. It made nice holiday gifts, but it took months in my closet to infuse.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Teri
You’re welcome and Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you. Same to you and your family👨🍳 🐔
I will DEFINITELY be trying this soon! Also, update on the chicken with dressing/marinade…it was delicious.
Great! So glad you liked it! Wait until you try the Fruit Infused Vodka!
Thank you for sharing!
I bet these are amazing! I’ve made Apple Cider similarly. Great gift for the upcoming holidays!
The color is so vibrant and they last so long. Thanks!
I’m definitely going to try this with apples! My brother in law makes homemade moon shine but there are always so many ridiculous ingredients and no one has time for that! Toss in some apples and cinnamon sticks and boom, thanks for sharing Diane! I love your recipes!!
Great idea! My son makes moonshine too but not one I can handle….lol Even for me to drink vodka needs lots of pop or OJ added and love it….lol
WOW! Can’t wait to try this! Hiccup 🙂
🤣😂🤣 Enjoy!
