Do you want a great tasting Fruit Infused Vodka to add to your favorite mixed drinks? Or maybe you want a unique homemade gift to give out at the holidays. Here is your answer! I made these with strawberries, pineapples and blueberries and it only takes 3-5 days to make! The best part is it lasts a very long time.

I was inspired to learn more about infusing vodka through a Facebook group called Cooking From Scratch on Debbie’s Back Porch.

Rinse and pat dry the strawberries and the blueberries.

Cut the strawberries into small pieces after removing the top.

Cut the outer layer off of the pineapple, core it and cut into small chunks.

Measure two cups of each fruit and pour each fruit into a clean quart jar.

Fill each fruit jar with 80 proof (40% alcohol) or 100 proof (50% alcohol) Vodka.

80 proof vodka tastes better and 100 proof will draw out more of the fruit flavor.

I used 80 proof and I let it sit for four days and it turned out great.

Just make sure the fruit is completely covered with the vodka at all times.

Let the jars sit in a dark, cool place for 3-5 days. Shake the jars once per day.

Once they sit, taste them and make sure enough fruit flavor has infused into the vodka.

If it has, strain the fruit from the vodka using a coffee filter or cheesecloth.

Discard the fruit and pour the Fruit Infused Vodka into clean bottles.

Fruit Infused Vodka will keep indefinitely.

    • Definitely great gifts. Buy some small bottles and give them different flavors. Last year I made homemade pure vanilla extract and did the same thing. Vanilla extract takes months to make compared to 3-5 day for this.

  1. HI Diane, the other night I was at a happy hour (not surprising, I know!) and they and a pumpkin infused vodka. It was delicious but tasted more like a pumpkin spice than straight pumpkin flavor. Any idea how they did that one? Would love to get me some more of that!!

    • OH YES!!!! Peach would be amazing! Just make sure you strain it good. You can even infuse with herbs or even fruits with herbs. I wish I had peaches that will be amazing!

  2. This is not my thing – could never drink vodka – but my relatives have some polish vodka they stock up on and I will have to share this with them….
    Nice shelf life too –

  3. I really love the idea of placing them in Mason jars. As the holiday season starts kicking off, these would make great presents! Add a cute festive ribbon and you got yourself a gift. Great Post!

  4. Wow. This recipe like looks easy and refreshing.
I made a grapefruitcello a few years back. It made nice holiday gifts, but it took months in my closet to infuse.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  5. I’m definitely going to try this with apples! My brother in law makes homemade moon shine but there are always so many ridiculous ingredients and no one has time for that! Toss in some apples and cinnamon sticks and boom, thanks for sharing Diane! I love your recipes!!
