Beef Jerky

IMG_3827My Granddaughter has been bugging me to make some Beef Jerky. She will be here tonight so I made sure it was ready for when she gets here.

Beef Jerky is so expensive to buy and so easy to make. It is time-consuming but makes a lot of jerky. I don’t use a jerky gun, I just slice beef. I slice it partially frozen because it is so easy to slice this way. I make the marinade, soak the sliced beef overnight, drain the marinade and dehydrate. That’s all there is to it. I either vacuum pack them or put it in small serving size sandwich bags and then in a large freezer bag. I always keep them in the refrigerator or freeze them to keep them fresh. They thaw out in just a few minutes.
