Today’s blog is about one of my favorite gadgets! I have had this pot drainer for years. I couldn’t find any exactly like this on line except on eBay and they were about $5.00. There are plenty of other types that do the same thing but I can’t say how they work. They ranged from about $8.00 – $15.00. This one has two knobs that stick out on each side of the drainer that help hold the drainer tight against the pot. See picture below.

This way you can use it left or right handed. It does not attach to the pan, you just hold it in place and the knobs keep it where it needs to be to drain the water. I don’t use this for 1# of pasta but for small quantities it is wonderful. No need dragging out that big colander and washing it. This gadget is so simple to use and easy to clean.

I love it for the boxed Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. Yes, I do break down and eat some processed food. Not much but that is one I can’t seem to give up. I have been eating it since I was a kid.
