Blueberry Smoothie

IMG_0390

The Grandkids are here for the weekend. I asked my Granddaughter what we should make for my blog today. Well she loves my home grown blueberries. She eats them frozen all year long from our freezer. She said “How about blueberry cake?” That was a winner for me however, when she said blueberry it reminded me of the smoothies I use to make for her all the time. I don’t know why I stopped. I told her to pick which one she wanted and as you see, it was the smoothie.

Of course she didn’t want to wait for me to make the smoothie. Why do kids think food just magically appears? Probably because of how fast it disappears! When I started taking pictures of the process for my blog she just rolled her eyes and said “Oh Grandma you always have to take pictures!”

Smoothies can be made with almost any fruit or vegetable. Just use your favorite combination and don’t be afraid to play around with different ingredients and quantities to get just the right taste for you. Here is my favorite combination and how I make it.
