Easter Deviled Eggs
Here is a fun, easy and elegant way to make deviled eggs for Easter this year.
Peel the eggs and dry on a paper towel.
Place them on a plate and refrigerate,
covered with plastic wrap until cold.
Once they are cold use a sharp thin knife,
I use a cheese knife, and slice the cold
egg evenly in half lengthwise.
Carefully remove the yolk
placing them into a bowl.
Using a pastry blender or fork, smash the
yolks into little pieces. Add enough Miracle
Whip (or mayonnaise) and a little salt, to your
taste. Using your mixer, blend until smooth.
Put your egg yolk mixture into a pastry bag
or cut the tip off of a Ziploc bag and use that.
Now it’s time to color the egg white halves.
Put 4-6 drops of one color of food coloring into
one cup of water. Soak the egg halves until you
get the color of brightness you want. Remove
from the colored water and carefully pat
dry with a paper towel.
Squeeze the yolk mixture into each egg
center. Garnish with paprika. Place a
piece of parsley in the center, optional.

Not sure what happened but my comment disappeared. So doing this not just next year for Easter but how good for any celebration. Its something older kids can help with and have fun doing it.
Orange for Halloween etc. They are a huge hit for any occasion.
What a neat idea to color the whites! I would have never thought to do that 🙂 I know what I am doing for Easter this year! Thank you for the great idea; I look forward to surprising my family!
You’re welcome they will be a big hit. Just make sure you use the water and food coloring. The first year I ALMOST dumped them I the kids egg coloring which has vinegar…lol
I love this idea! Will definitely try these this week. 😉
They are so simple with food coloring and water. They will be a big hit! Let me know how they turn out please. ❤️
I was delighted to see this post, Diane. My mother did something similar. She dyed the peeled eggs whole. How clever of you to slice the peeled eggs and remove the yolks before dyeing the egg halves! I hadn’t thought about doing that. I love learning new techniques! Very pretty!
You’re welcome Janet! My daughter actually made these a few years ago so I stole the idea from her…lol
Lovely 🙂 I always learn something new in your posts Diane! Thank you!!
Great that is what makes my blog worth it! Thank you for your kind words!
No pickles or relish?
Nope I have eaten deviled eggs this way my entire life. I know a lot of people like mustard too but nice and simple for me. Lol
